Artist’s Statement

The imagery I create combines the glowing expanse of cityscapes and the grandeur of architectural subjects with the vibrant colors of twilight.  I strive to capture the rich, saturated indigo hues and cobalt blues of the early-evening sky. The neon vibrance of an urban marketplace and the massive glass facades of skyscrapers reflecting the beauty of nautical twilight are the focus of my work.

I have specialized in timed exposures and experimental photography for three decades. I pay close attention to color and composition and strive to find abstract aspects of both landscape and architecture. I enjoy shooting the spectacle of fireworks and lightening, the brash brilliance of an amusement pier at sunset, and the expanse of a city as twilight fades on the horizon.
